The text addresses the growing violence and the ineffectiveness of socio-educational measures in the Brazilian context. Deep-rooted intolerance makes dialogue difficult, making the construction of an educated and trained youth secondary. The author highlights the concern with crime involving children and adolescents, highlighting the importance of meeting their needs and guaranteeing their rights. The lack of support in the past is reflected in current criminal acts, especially in marginalized environments. The text highlights the need to understand the real needs of minors and seek solutions to change the current crime scenario. It proposes measures that go beyond simply placing the teenager in a common cell, aiming for their protection, resocialization and support. Despite the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA) establishing socio-educational measures, the author points out flaws in their applicability, contributing to the increase in the number of young people marginalized in the world of crime. It highlights the importance of joint action by the State, family and education for the effective application of these measures. The text emphasizes the need for urgent prevention, with specific measures and respect for fundamental rights, aiming to guarantee the dignity of the human person and the minor's return to society in an honest manner.
