Abstract

Occupational illnesses are a reality and are present in companies. A stressful environment generates consequences that can be irreversible in an employee's life, which is why it is extremely important that leaders and managers pay attention to the well-being of their employees. This work aims to present the aspects of stress in the workplace, the events that can generate stress for the individual, the influence of the environment and interpersonal relationships that affect behavior. Some indicators of stressful situations are also presented, where it is possible to measure stress at the individual level, in groups within the organization and in the organization itself. This study presents some diseases related to stress, with the concept of Burnout being the main one. After identifying stress, the environment and harm, improvements are presented in the work environment to prevent and reduce stress.
