The study analyzes the essential role of nurses in pre-hospital care, where it is necessary to provide immediate and quality care to patients in emergency situations. The research seeks to understand the responsibilities and skills needed to improve care during the initial phases of care. The importance of this study lies in the relevance of nurses in this context, which requires technical knowledge and specific skills to deal with critical and urgent situations. The nurse plays a crucial role in basic life support, initial patient assessment, stabilization and appropriate referral to the most appropriate health service. By understanding the role of the nurse in this scenario, it will be possible to identify the skills necessary for efficient performance, as well as the difficulties and challenges faced in the pre-hospital environment. Furthermore, this analysis will contribute to improving the qualification and training processes of nursing professionals, ensuring quality and safe care for patients. In summary, the study highlights the importance of nurses in pre-hospital care, providing support for improving practices and guidelines, with the aim of improving the quality of care and clinical results for patients in emergency situations.
