This study investigates the evolution of the role of organizational psychologists in the face of changes in the contemporary work scenario in administrations. The crucial relationship between people management strategies and emerging demands to promote the well-being of workers and prevent Burnout Syndrome stands out. The work addresses the complexity of the meaning of work, the effects of stress and the challenges faced by professionals, especially in highly competitive environments. It is concluded that effective interventions in Organizational and Work Psychology require a contextualized approach, expanding the strategic vision and practices beyond the operational level, aiming for holistic and sustainable management.
