This study investigates the evolution of the role of organizational psychologists in the face of transformations in the contemporary workplace. It emphasizes the crucial relationship between people management strategies and the emerging demands to promote the well-being of workers and prevent Burnout Syndrome. The paper addresses the complexity of the meaning of work, the effects of stress, and the challenges faced by professionals, particularly in highly competitive environments. It is concluded that effective interventions in Organizational and Occupational Psychology require a contextualized approach, expanding the strategic vision and practices beyond the operational level, aiming for holistic and sustainable management.
