Abstract

The present study deals with the influence influenced by the media in the judgments of the Jury Court, especially in relation to the Jury Council, composed of jurors. Some crimes gain national repercussions and the media makes society aware and jurors can be influenced in their decisions. Faced with this reality, this study aims to analyze the relationship between the influence of the media in the pre-trial of intentional crimes that threaten life and its consequences. Therefore, a deductive approach will be used, through a qualitative research, in which data will be collected through bibliographical research techniques. Faced with this reality, the importance of this study lies mainly in demonstrating that the media has become a potential liability for the formation of public opinion, influencing audiences through excessive sensationalism, and having a detrimental effect on the dissemination of news, on the jury.
