KIDNEY TRANSPLANT IN BRAZIL AND COMPATIBILITY FOR DONATION

This research aims to inform and explain the parameters for screening living kidney donors in Brazil. It refers to an informative and descriptive research, resulting from the survey of available literature on the subject. To prepare the research, scientific research available in the Virtual Health Library (VHL), notes and official publications from the Ministry of Health (MS), the Brazilian Association of Organ Transplants (ABTO) and the National Health System were used as literary means. Transplants (SNT).The success rates of a transplant are higher in cases of living donors, compared to the rates of kidneys from cadaver donors. To be suitable for kidney transplantation from living people, it requires exams in addition to compatibility tests, detailed clinical and psychological investigation of the recipient and donor. Regarding the parameters adopted for cadaver donors, they are aimed at the absence of restrictions and the possibility of organs for transplantation. The rules for kidney transplantation in Brazil and around the world require strict standards for donors and recipient patients. All requirements adopted are aimed at the safety of patients, their families and healthcare workers.
