This article aimed to analyze the clinical, surgical, and anatomopathological characteristics of a clinical case of a female patient with tail insulinoma of pancreas. An analysis of medical records authorized by the patient was performed, with a signed free and informed consent form, associated with the literature review methodology of the PubMed, SciELO and UpToDate databases. Pancreatic insulinomas are rare neoplasms, most of the time they are benign, unique, small and difficult to diagnose. Although they are rarely found, hey are considered the most frequent neuroendocrine tumors of the pancreas. Surgical resection is the treatment of choice and offers high chances of cure.
