Abstract

Salesian preventive system is a method developed by Dom Bosco and applied in several educational centers. The three main pillars of the preventive system are reason, religion and amorevolezza, an Italian term that can be partially translated as affection or love. The “Healthy Life” project of extension promotes the practice of physical exercise and lifestyle changes for the society of Lins. From its conception and during its execution, the project uses preventive system concepts. This report presents in concrete terms how the pillars of the preventive system were inspiring and guiding the execution of the project. It can be concluded that the preventive system can be applied in health extension projects. Future studies may provide results related to this practice.
