This article aims to verify the importance of digital games as an important factor in motivating students to learn the language, as a resource for the foundation and implementation of vocabulary in English. I specifically know that digital games have emerged as essential tools not in teaching foreign languages. The integration of these games as a complement to the classroom, aimed at strengthening the concepts learned, is quickly becoming a widespread practice throughout the world. Nesse scope, aiming to understand this procedure, the present work is assinalar-se for being bibliographic, developed from materials such as articles, books, magazines and monographs already researched, studies whose objective is to generate relevant reflections on the topic. It is highlighted that the attractive visual elements, the immersive narratives and the adaptations to the skill level of the learner convert the game into an effective tool. Além disso, this approach promotes a more informal learning environment, once the game is out of the center of attention, as the learner is incorporated naturally. Nesse pedagogical method, the students assimilate vocabulary, expressões and establish connections, attributing meaning to the entanglement of two digital games, which are frequently presented in the English language. The English vocabulary enrichment process not only provides meaning, but also encourages the construction of meaning through the interaction between words and images. The games offer vast opportunities that, if carefully explored and analysed, have the potential to expand their educational contributions, becoming effective tools in the teaching of English as a foreign language.
