This article aims to present one of the techniques used to make foundations for buildings that do not have very friendly soil to receive loads, specifically soils whose safe resistance begins to be found beyond three meters deep or soils where the groundwater level is relatively close to the surface. The open-air tubing technique was discussed, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages, risks and technological advances developed over time that brought greater agility and safety during work. To improve understanding, a model was produced with the focus of improving the layman's understanding of how such foundations were made.
