Guillain-Barré syndrome is a rare autoimmune disorder characterized by an inflammatory attack on the peripheral nerves. This attack, often triggered by a preceding infection, damages the myelin sheath that insulates these nerves. The result is progressive and ascending muscle weakness. Clinicians diagnose Guillain-Barré syndrome based on the patient's clinical presentation, supported by tests like cerebrospinal fluid analysis and electroneuromyography. This case report details the clinical picture, symptoms, and treatment course of a patient diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome.
