INNOVATIONS IN REGIONAL ANESTHESIA TECHNIQUES: IMPROVING SAFETY AND EFFECTIVENESS IN PAIN CONTROL

Abstract

Through an integrative literature review, this study examines the latest trends and advances in this field. Regional anesthesia techniques have been widely adopted due to their benefits, such as reducing the need for systemic analgesia and reducing adverse effects associated with opioids. However, patient safety is a central concern, highlighting the importance of adequate training and maintenance of technical skills by healthcare professionals. The multimodal approach, which combines different analgesic modalities, is recognized as an effective strategy for providing comprehensive pain relief. However, additional research is needed to further improve these techniques, identify new therapeutic strategies, and ensure evidence-based, patient-centered clinical practice.
