Abstract

This study examined the effectiveness of these strategies in improving clinical outcomes, including mortality, ICU length of stay, and need for ventilatory or cardiovascular support. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in patient outcomes with the adoption of a collaborative approach involving professionals from different specialties. However, implementation challenges were identified, such as coordination between healthcare teams and resistance to change. Despite these difficulties, the benefits observed indicate that multidisciplinary strategies have the potential to improve not only clinical outcomes, but also the quality of care and the efficiency of health services in intensive medicine. Continued research in this field is recommended to address gaps in knowledge and further promote the development of integrated approaches to critically ill patient care.
