EFFECT OF ACUPUNCTURE IN CHRONIC KIDNEY PATIENTS: SYSTEMATIC REVIEW

Abstract

Currently, there is timid scientific production in search of evidence to evaluate the effects of acupuncture in patients with chronic renal failure. Therefore, recognizing acupuncture as an effective and efficient intervention that optimizes care practices in renal replacement therapy, based on robust scientific evidence, provides the promotion of health and well-being. Therefore, it is necessary to search for evidence from studies on this topic, in order to support integrative and complementary practice, as well as facilitate the choice of techniques, points, length of stay, interval between sessions and therapy indications.
