Abstract

The present work seeks to identify strategies for early diagnosis of bipolar disorder (BD), according to the situation presented. As data sources, the Cochrane Library, the National Library of Medicine (PubMed), the Cochrane Library (CL) and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) were used with the search for articles using the terms “Strategies”, “ Early Diagnosis” and “Bipolar Disorder” in addition to the Boolean operator “and”, original articles with a publication period between 2018 and 2023 were included and review articles were excluded from this study. Table 1 demonstrates the strategies for early diagnosis and its conclusions. In this way, morphometry and gyrification, distinction of prodromal symptoms, gray matter markers, functional nuclear magnetic resonance, CART method, immunoinflammatory signature and dynamic rfMRI were observed.
