The integration of pharmacological approaches and cognitive therapies in the treatment of mental disorders represents a promising and evolving therapeutic strategy. This study reviews the current literature on this approach, examining evidence of its effectiveness, practical considerations, and implications for clinical practice. The combination of pharmacological treatments and cognitive therapies has demonstrated significant benefits in a variety of mental disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Personalizing treatment protocols, considering the individual characteristics of patients, is essential to optimize therapeutic results. Multidisciplinary collaboration between healthcare professionals is also essential to ensure an integrated and comprehensive approach to patient care. This study highlights the importance of integrating therapeutic approaches in the treatment of mental disorders and provides valuable insights to guide future research and clinical practice in this evolving field.
