Abstract

Introduction: Population aging demands a humanized approach to elderly care. This studs investigates the importance of this approach, considering their physical, emotional, and social needs. Objective: To investigate the relevance of humanization in elderly care, analyzing its impact on quality of life and well-being. Methods: An integrative literature review was conducted, covering studies on humanization in elderly care. Results: The need for a holistic and humanized approach, recognizing the dignity and uniqueness of the elderly in diferent care contexts, was highlighted. Discussions: Public policies and the role of healthcare professionals are crucial in promoting humanization in elderly care.
