Melanoma of anal canal is a rare and aggressive neoplasm that affects the anal mucosa cells, more common in older white women, besides delayed diagnosis because of non-specific signs, and bad prognosis. In this article, we report a melanoma of anal canal case in a female patient, 61 years old, with live bleeding through the rectum lasting two months. Upon digital rectal examination, a palpable mass was identified. After biopsy, the histological result defined high-risk melanoma. Curative treatment planning included rectal amputation with tumor removal, known as Miles surgery.
