This literature review addressed the challenge of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into education ethically, highlighting the potential benefits for personalization of learning and administrative efficiency, as well as the associated risks, such as privacy issues, algorithmic bias and fairness. The overall objective was to analyze existing literature to understand the ethical implications of using AI in education, focusing on both benefits and risks. A literature review methodology was used, examining previous studies and discussions on the topic to collect relevant data. The results revealed that, despite the significant advances provided by AI, it is important to address ethical challenges through the development of robust policies, training of educators and students, and the implementation of responsible practices. The analysis highlighted the need for a multidisciplinary approach to ensure AI is applied fairly and inclusively in the educational environment. Final considerations emphasized the importance of balancing the benefits of AI with ethical risks, suggesting that the responsible adoption of technology can promote more personalized and efficient education, as long as it is accompanied by measures that guarantee protection and respect for the rights of those involved.
