This comprehensive review elucidates the pivotal role of telemedicine in geriatric healthcare provision in Brazil, delineating the associated challenges, advantages, and future trajectories. Telemedicine is posited as a transformative instrument in the delivery of geriatric care, notwithstanding the identified impediments such as technological accessibility and its acceptance within this demographic. The manifest advantages, encompassing remote patient monitoring and the broadening of healthcare service accessibility, underscore its substantial potential. Consequently, it is essential to persistently explore and invest in this domain to augment the quality of geriatric care in Brazil. The outlook is optimistic, suggesting ample opportunities to broaden its implementation and enhance the efficacy of the healthcare system. In this context, the synergy between governmental bodies, healthcare institutions, and technology developers is deemed critical to surmount the challenges and optimize the benefits of telemedicine in geriatric care.
