Abstract

The social worker's intervention plays a crucial role in preventing violations of the rights of children in situations of social vulnerability. Firstly, the social service professional acts as a facilitator in the early identification of at-risk families, using social assessment tools to understand the socioeconomic and environmental conditions that can negatively impact child development. Secondly, the social worker is involved in the formulation and implementation of public policies aimed at preventing violations of children's rights. By actively participating in the planning and execution of social programs, professionals seek to direct resources and efforts to priority areas, promoting equity and seeking sustainable solutions to the challenges faced by children in vulnerable situations. Thus, the social worker's intervention not only aims to remedy immediate crises, but also works proactively to build an environment that provides the well-being and full development of children, effectively preventing the violation of their rights.
