WOMEN'S HEALTH: NURSE'S ROLE IN PREVENTING CERVICAL CANCER

INTRODUCTION: Cervical cancer is a tumor that develops from changes in the cervix, characterized by the disordered replication of the organ's lining epithelium. These changes are called precursor lesions, and can transform into cancer. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the role of nurses in women's health in the prevention of cervical cancer. METHODOLOGY: The present work is a bibliographical review with a qualitative approach, the bibliographical research is made of material already prepared from books and scientific articles in relation to cervical cancer and the role of nurses in its prevention, the survey was carried out in databases: literature from Latin America and the Caribbean (Lilacs), (Medline) and Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), in the period between 2018-2023. RESULTS: it is understood that the expressions of social issues influence issues inherent to illness and cancer treatment.
