Abstract

The general objective is to analyze the persistence of preputial frenulum in bovines, while the specific objectives include the identification of the impacts on reproductive health, the exploration of the surgical approaches used and the review of prevention and management strategies. The adopted methodology involves an extensive bibliographical research, encompassing scientific articles, case reports, dissertations and relevant materials on the persistence of preputial frenulum in bovines. A critical analysis and synthesis of the information obtained is fundamental to consolidate the knowledge on the topic and the various approaches adopted for its resolution. The results highlight the complexity of the persistence of the preputial frenule, evidencing its negative impacts on the reproductive health of bovines. These surgical approaches emerge as effective in resolving these conditions, providing significant improvements in the genital anatomy of both animals.
