Abstract

The objective of this article is to demonstrate the importance of good performance of a pharmacist's specific skills in therapeutic care and attention, which aims to guarantee the effectiveness of drug treatment through welcoming and guidance in the conduct of treatment. To this end, an analysis of scientific literature was carried out and searches were carried out in databases of the Scientific Electronic Library (SciELO), on the websites of the Federal Pharmacy Council (CFF) and the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA), articles relevant to the subject published in the period from 2004 to 2023. Its quest to guide the user to develop treatment appropriately aims to reduce the need to use medications, thus avoiding the adverse effects of pharmacological treatment and reducing the cost of treatment for the patient and for health institutions.
