ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATIONAL ACTIONS IN PUBLIC AGENCIES: ADOPTION OF NEW PRACTICES, IN SEARCH OF EFFICIENT ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT WITH SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

Abstract

Through educational actions, public bodies have mobilized to disseminate good sustainable practices, developing management with socio-environmental responsibility. These actions are effective in promoting environmental awareness among everyone who works in Public Administration. The dissemination of good practices and the encouragement of the adoption of sustainability actions in Public Administration are the objectives sought to achieve management based on the efficiency of institutional spending and administrative processes, and the rational use of natural resources. Environmental Management has been a priority practice in public bodies, in search of obtaining a desired environmental quality. Public bodies have been concerned with sustainable development, and have been adhering to new environmental management practices, where companies or the State mobilize internally or externally to achieve a desired environmental quality. Many institutions have been developing action plans that include more sustainable practices, thinking about the environment. This article will address the concept of Environmental Management, and which standards have guided public bodies in the development of environmental educational actions, so that there is preservation, recovery of environmental quality and socio-environmental responsibility.
