Abstract

Post-maternity entrepreneurship is a challenge and stimulus faced by many women in the job market, driven by the search for balance between career and motherhood. Influenced by several factors, some see it as an opportunity for professional and personal fulfillment, while others see it as a need for extra income. This study analyzes female entrepreneurship in conjunction with motherhood and whether the option to undertake is due to opportunity or necessity. The results achieved highlight areas of activity and the motivation to stay close to children, avoiding outsourcing their upbringing. Many businesses start without planning or legalization, looking for a second source of income. Although the initial motivation is generally necessity, mothers demonstrate a strong willingness to acquire knowledge and develop skills. Maternal entrepreneurship encourages the development of management, creativity and problem-solving skills, which are valuable in any professional field.
