Nurse and Educator.Abstract
The nurse's role as a health educator is fundamental to health promotion and disease prevention. Nurses can work in different environments and use different teaching strategies to enable people to make conscious and healthy decisions regarding their health. With adequate information and the necessary training, people can adopt healthier habits, prevent diseases and complications, and have a better quality of life. Health education must be adapted to the reality of the population and provoke conflict in individuals, creating opportunities for people to think and rethink their culture and transform their reality.
