Abstract

Psychoanalysis plays a crucial role in the blood bank context, promoting a deeper and more holistic understanding of blood donors and recipients. By exploring the unconscious and emotional aspects of donors, psychoanalysts help identify fears, anxieties or traumas related to donating blood, which can influence people's willingness to donate. Understanding these underlying factors is critical to improving donation rates by creating a more welcoming and empathetic environment for donors. Furthermore, psychoanalysis is also valuable when dealing with patients receiving blood transfusions. Patients undergoing intensive procedures often face fear, anguish and vulnerability. Psychoanalysts can help these patients deal with these emotions, which can, in turn, improve their response to treatment and speed up the recovery process. By integrating psychoanalysis into the blood bank context, healthcare professionals can establish a deeper connection with donors and recipients, ensuring a more humane and compassionate donation process. This patient-centered approach not only increases blood donations, but also contributes to the emotional and mental well-being of both donors and recipients, significantly improving quality. Psychoanalysis at the blood bank not only promotes regular donation, but also creates an environment where people feel understood and supported. This emotional understanding can significantly increase people's willingness to donate blood, resulting in a more stable supply and saving lives.
