This study aims to understand the functions of the Pharmacy professional, acting as a Hospital Pharmacist, focusing on the importance of their logistical functions, which are: knowledge, selection, acquisition, receipt and storage of medicine, medical devices and pharmaceutical products . The Hospital Pharmacist is also responsible for preparing, informing, distributing and controlling the supplies needed for each patient. The direction of Hospital Pharmaceutical Services, according to Decree No. 44,201, of February 2, 1962, must only be exercised by individuals trained as Hospital Pharmacists. This study seeks to understand step-by-step the so-called functions of Hospital Pharmacists and the importance of this work being done correctly in all its details.
