Hypertension during pregnancy is among the main causes of maternal and perinatal mortality in the world. The pharmaceutical professional has a very important role in guiding the population on the correct use of medications, especially with regard to the care of hypertensive pregnant women. Therefore, this work had the general objective of identifying the benefits and existence of pharmaceutical guidance in commercial pharmacies for women with gestational hypertension. Using a literature review, where the following databases were considered in the bibliographic research: Scielo, PUBMED and Bireme, using the following terms: “Arterial Hypertension”, “Gestational Hypertension”, “Community Pharmacy” and “Pharmaceutical” present in the articles found . The research results allowed us to conclude that pharmaceutical services are a reality in community pharmacies, contributing to the population's easy access to medicines in a rational, adequate and safe way and, above all, in the guidance, counseling and care of hypertensive pregnant women.
