This article aims to analyze the application of precautionary measures other than prison for provisional custody in the State of Amazonas, as well as in other states in Brazil, it is related to the search for alternatives to preventive detention, especially when it comes to relieving the prison system. and guarantee respect for the human rights of detainees. These measures have the main objective of avoiding the extrajudicial arrest of people who may not yet have been convicted, but which are applied to other measures that guarantee public order, criminal investigation and the application of law 12,403, of May 4, 2011. Some examples of precautionary measures other than prison include: House Arrest. Temporary custodians may be permitted to serve their protective order at home under certain conditions, such as obligations to stay home at night or on weekends, or to wear an ankle monitor for monitoring. Additional suggestions for precautionary measures other than prison that can be applied in provisional custody in the State of Amazonas, Work or Study Allow the accused to continue working or attending school, as long as they comply with certain obligations, such as reporting their location or hours. The State of Amazonas could expand its partnerships to implement precautionary measures other than prison and other strategies related to criminal justice and the prison system.
