APPLICATION OF PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES OTHER THAN PRISON TO PROVISIONAL CUSTODIES IN THE STATE OF AMAZONAS

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the application of precautionary measures other than prison for provisional custody in the State of Amazonas, as well as in other states in Brazil, it is related to the search for alternatives to preventive detention, especially when it comes to relieving the prison system. and guarantee respect for the human rights of detainees. These measures have the main objective of avoiding the extrajudicial arrest of people who may not yet have been convicted, but which are applied to other measures that guarantee public order, criminal investigation and the application of law 12,403, of May 4, 2011.
