This article sought to highlight improvements in the civil construction sector in terms of projects that were gradually innovative. Taller buildings, for example, are the result of engineering knowledge that has mastered tools with greater precision, as concomitant with the height of buildings there is also the problem of wind power, which has been overcome through research in the area, as demonstrated in this work . Therefore, it was considered that, based on tests with models in wind tunnels, it was possible to combine effectiveness with profitability, allowing the structure to be rationalized. Thus, the objective of this work is to present basic procedures for calculating the static effects of wind action on construction in accordance with the provisions of the Brazilian standard (NBR 6123/1988, from this, compare specified estimates and results obtained through technical report, which were based on tests of simplified models, both with regard to shear forces and bending and torsional moments.
