Breast cancer treatment includes surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hormone therapy, or a combination of these treatments. However, scientific literature has shown increasing interest in the contribution of physiotherapy to the management of these patients, highlighting its role in reducing fatigue, improving mobility, and psychosocial support. The present study aims to investigate the role of physiotherapy in female patients with breast cancer, highlighting the importance of the role of the physiotherapist in the multidisciplinary care team by understanding the positive impact of physiotherapy in this context, we can improve the quality of life and the well-being of these patients, contributing to a holistic and compassionate approach to breast cancer treatment. This study is an integrative literature review. To choose the articles, the following inclusion criteria were adopted: original articles, literature review, systematic review and meta-analysis, in English and Portuguese, published in the last years that addressed the proposed theme. Exclusion criteria: duplicate and/or incomplete. Physiotherapy interventions have good potential to prevent secondary lymphedema and provide relief to patients. In addition to the importance of holistic care in recovering from breast cancer, in addition to physical rehabilitation, strategies that address the emotional well-being of patients. In short, understanding the role of the physiotherapist in the multidisciplinary care team for patients with breast cancer helps to improve quality of life and well-being, in addition to contributing to a holistic and compassionate approach to the treatment of breast cancer.
