THE INTERNATIONAL TRAFFICKING OF WOMEN FOR THE PURPOSE OF SEXUAL EXPLOITATION IN BRAZIL

The present work deals with the international trafficking of women in Brazil for the purpose of sexual exploitation. Women have been sexually objectified since the dawn of humanity, a fact that is widely known in Western and Eastern cultures. Although there have been, in recent decades, great advances in relation to women's individual rights, the trafficking of women for the purpose of sexual exploitation remains one of the most cruel and profitable crimes. The criminal practice of sexual exploitation of trafficked women is intertwined with various scenes, such as ethical, moral, religious issues, among others, which involve sexuality motivated by various elements that, in turn, encompass Social Policy, economic instability, poverty , globalization and legislation. Therefore, the objective is to analyze the implications and consequences of international trafficking in women in the light of the Brazilian Penal Code. The method used in the research was the bibliographic one through research in scientific articles, theses, monographs, legislation and jurisprudence, with a deductive approach method that allowed to search for information about the problem, obtaining the expected results, where it is necessary to broaden the vision of the population about this type of crime in order to deal with the phenomenon of sexual exploitation in all its aspects, combating it, using the role that the State is willing to play in various ways, to give human beings legal security.
