The irrational use of antibiotics has harmful effects on health and society. First, it leads to the emergence of bacteria resistant to these drugs, making it difficult to treat the disease. Furthermore, unnecessary use of antibiotics can lead to adverse side effects such as allergies and gastrointestinal disturbances. The self-administration of antibiotics is also a problem, as many people use them without a proper medical prescription, this can lead to the worsening of infections and the waste of medical resources, and one of the main factors for bacteria to develop resistance is the continuous use of antibiotics. Antimicrobials without professional guidance, leading to high levels of drug resistance. Measures such as raising public awareness, educating health professionals and implementing control policies are essential to combat the irrational use of antibiotics and maintain the effectiveness of these very important drugs, thus maintaining control over the impacts of the misuse of this drug in the our organism.
