With increasingly stringent requirements being imposed on companies in their production process, constant fraud has been shown to the world. The government with a coercive method, which obliges companies to pollute less and less, and these, in turn, whether due to lack of technical capacity or financial contribution, are unable to execute the imposed requirements, circumventing systems in order not to be penalized. This article aims to point out the difficulty of complying with environmental standards. In an explanatory way, through doctrinal research, reports and scientific works, the methodology of this work was built. In this scenario, studies on the impacts and possibilities of changes in the production system are shown to be the key to sustainable development in the world.
