The study titled "The Role of Dermatofunctional Physiotherapy in the Postoperative Period of Abdominoplasty and High Definition Liposuction" focused on evaluating the effectiveness of dermatofunctional physiotherapy in the context of abdominoplasty and high-definition liposuction (HD lipo) surgeries. This study centered around a specific patient, S.V., a 42-year-old Brazilian woman, who underwent these surgical procedures and received dermatofunctional physiotherapeutic care over a span of 10 days. The primary objective of the research was to analyze the impact of dermatofunctional physiotherapy on postoperative recovery and the quality of life of patients. Key aspects investigated included the reduction of swelling, expedited wound healing, enhanced mobility, and decreased postoperative pain. The findings underscored the pivotal role of dermatofunctional physiotherapy in optimizing recovery after abdominoplasty and HD lipo, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for S.V. The study emphasized the significance of specialized physiotherapists in this field, highlighting therapeutic techniques that contribute to this improvement. In summary, this thesis underscores the relevance of dermatofunctional physiotherapy as an integral part of postoperative care in aesthetic abdominal surgeries, with the potential to improve patient recovery and well-being.
