EFFECTIVENESS OF MICRONEEDING IN THE TREATMENT OF SCARS CAUSED BY FACIAL ACNE VULGAR

Abstract

Introduction: The treatment of scars caused by acne vulgaris can be achieved through various resources, including microneedling, which aims to induce the production of collagen in the treatment of skin healing, consisting of a rolling cylinder studded with microneedles allowing uniform perforation. and quickly, in addition to allowing you to work in larger areas and with different depths for each region. Objective: In view of this, the present study aims to show the effectiveness of microneedling in the treatment of facial scars caused by acne vulgaris. Methodology: This research project is a bibliographic review, which began in February 2022 and was completed in November 2023. Conclusion: It is concluded that given the results obtained in the present study, microneedling showed an improvement in some levels of scars, caused by facial acne vulgaris.
