This study delves into research aimed at comparing construction costs between traditional methods and the use of precast panels in single-family homes. The objective is to conduct a quantitative analysis to determine if there are cost differences between a traditionally constructed residence and one using precast panels, identifying which method is more economical. The research is quantitative, descriptive, and experimental, conducted in the Jardins di Roma condominium under construction, with a population of 345 housing units—245 using precast panels and 100 employing conventional methods. Data collection occurred on-site, involving productivity measurements, material consumption, and process monitoring, followed by budgeting to determine the costs of each method. Results, based on budgets using the SINAPI reference, clearly indicate the economic effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of precast panel construction in single-family homes. The conclusion is that, from both a financial and practical standpoint, the precast panel system offers significant economic and operational advantages compared to traditional methods.
