Abstract

This article aims to address the legal issue of federal public servants regarding the use of alcohol and drugs, guaranteeing their right to preserve and maintain their employment, and respect for their human dignity as a human being, through regulatory standards. and principles highlighted within Public Administration. For this reason, a study was carried out on the topic, through bibliographic research for greater understanding, and the search for characteristics and concepts of the highlighted subject. And the understanding of the jurisprudence and doctrine used in this topic, which demonstrates the damage caused to federal public servants due to the consumption of alcohol and drugs, and the consequences that this can have on their professional career.
