Abstract

With the decree of the pandemic and the state of public and health calamity in Brazil, all sectors of society were affected, mainly with the imposition of social isolation measures and limitation of movement in cities across the country and the world. Labor activities considered non-essential underwent temporary suspension, while essential activities acted with a series of rules and precautions to reduce the risk of contagion, affecting all workers and their families indiscriminately. As it is a general problem, this article presents definitions, concepts and the impacts caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on Brazilian labor relations, observing the principles that manage labor relations, seeking to present the main positive and negative points of this system and the resulting effects. Taking into account that with the arrival of the pandemic, various preventive measures were needed for all workers, emptying the offices and prompting them to quickly migrate to remote work. In this way, the damage of the pandemic in the labor market and the legal measures adopted to protect employees and employers are presented, all through bibliographical research transformed into an article prepared in the form of a literature review.
