THE IMPORTANCE OF PUBLIC HEALTH IN THE CONTROL AND PREVENTION OF ORAL PATHOLOGIES IN CHILDREN

Children’s oral health is a relevant concern for Dentistry in the prevention of oral diseases. The importance of Public Health in dentistry related to children presents a great challenge today. The general objective of the research is to analyze, through bibliographical and descriptive research, the factors that collective health in dentistry can act as a means of helping to regress pathologies and oral injuries in children, as well as observing the behavior of dental surgeons in education. Oral health and prevention such as cavities, among other factors. During the research, factors that directly interfere with this problem were listed. The ideal age for the first care is in the first year of life due to primary tooth eruption occurring from the 6th month of life. Thus, it is concluded that Public Health actions are aimed at promoting, preventing and recovering health, taking into account the social determinants of health and all the factors that can interfere with children’s oral health, seeking to minimize these aggravating factors and triggers of main oral pathologies in children.
