This article examines the importance and impacts of digital transformation for Individual Microentrepreneurs (IME) and Small and Micro Enterprises, focusing on the vital role of emerging technologies in innovation and business development, identifying the associated challenges, opportunities, and enabling technologies. The goal is to understand the role of digital tools and how these enterprises can further adapt in the current digitization scenario. This study explores the features of digital transformation encompassing the implementation of digital technologies to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and the development of new business models. It emphasizes the role of technologies such as Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, mobile devices, and Artificial Intelligence, analyzing how each can be integrated by IMEs and Small and Micro Enterprises.
