Abstract

This study is a research instrument on child labor, aiming to present an analysis of the participation of minors in the labor market, observing certain restrictions in relation to this type of labor exploitation established by legislation and the peculiar circumstances of this group, in accordance with the Federal Constitution. . This type of work still persists as a serious social problem in Brazil, where minors are forced to work at an early age in various activities, ranging from working in fields and factories to providing services in other people's homes, continuously and without pay. in addition to being deprived of access to formal education. Although there has been considerable progress in policies to address this issue, the situation persists and deserves special attention from the State and society. The government plays an extremely important role in formulating and monitoring policies to combat and prevent early employment and in implementing the principles established in the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA): protection of the rights of children and adolescents, simultaneous efforts and broad social participation in policies.
