The present work aims to describe the importance of nursing professionals during childbirth, implementing strategies that facilitate the provision of more humanized care, free from unnecessary complications, providing greater safety for women. The problem of this research sought to answer the role of nurses in monitoring humanized normal birth. This study aims to justify the importance of the nursing professional's role in monitoring humanized normal birth. This is a qualitative study with the preparation of an integrative bibliographic review, using bibliographic and scientific journals available on the Google Scholar platform and associated with printed versions as a theoretical foundation. It is concluded that the nurse is a professional with such knowledge capable of transforming childbirth into a more comfortable moment for the parturient, making her feel confident and safe in the process of giving birth to her child, thus making the birth more humanized.
