THE IMPORTANCE OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING FOR THE PROPER USE OF ICT IN ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION AT THE EREFEM PASTOR AMARO DE SENA SCHOOL IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ABREU AND LIMA-PE

Abstract

The daily life of the school space has become a challenge for many teachers due to the more effective inclusion of Communication and Information Technologies (ICTs). So that the professional can use the technological tools in a productive and expressive way has demanded more and more an improvement for better service to the student in the classroom or within the computer lab, but unfortunately it is not always offered by the education networks an initial training so that teachers can act with these technological tools, hindering and limiting the development of works that involve these resources in the school environment. Given this understanding, the present study aims to identify the challenges and limitations faced by teachers in the school environment for the proper use of ICTs. The study is descriptive in nature with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The participants of the research will be the teachers of Elementary School II and High School of the Pastor Amado de Sena Reference School, located in the municipality of Abreu e Lima – PE. It is expected that at the end of the research it will be possible to verify how professional training can contribute to eliminate the challenges and limitations of teachers to use ICTs efficiently, because at every moment the technological advancement in the school space has demanded of the education professional and their pedagogical practices the use of technology, both in the computer lab and in the classroom.
