During the COVID-19 pandemic, social isolation had severe repercussions on domestic violence victims. This article examines the consequences of this unique period, which exacerbated a social issue primarily affecting women. Forced isolation increased the proximity between perpetrators and victims, leading to a rise in instances of violence, while restricted access to support resources exacerbated the problem. Additionally, economic and health uncertainties added further tension, exposing victims to a more hostile environment. We will address a significant aspect related to this issue, also considering Law 14.022/2020 and its implementations to combat domestic violence, emphasizing the need for comprehensive measures of support, prevention, and public awareness. The pandemic underscored the ongoing urgency of combating and ensuring the safety and well-being of victims. In this context, the central objective of this study is to highlight the importance of this social problem and explore possible approaches to resolve it.
