The theme of this work is the financing of electoral campaigns in Brazil and the buying of votes. The financing of electoral campaigns by public and private companies culminates in heated debates due to the practice of corruption. This work will also address the general doctrinal aspects of electoral financing, the historical evolution of the electoral process, as well as the changes arising from the mini-electoral reform of 2017. It will seek to expose the impacts that the Party Fund and the Special Fund for Campaign Financing generate in public accounts, diverting values from other sectors to fill the financial gaps arising from the ADI. No. 4,650. This article also seeks to identify elements that contribute to fairer electoral disputes and lower levels of corruption. The main objective is to understand whether the measures adopted are in fact effective in combating corruption and explain the electoral financing models used in Brazil. For this purpose, the methodology used was bibliographical research, using the foundations of literature, such as doctrines, jurisprudence and scientific articles.
