Abstract

The article in question addresses the limits of freedom of expression in the digital age, performing a legal analysis. The study examines the consequences of the increasingly frequent use of social networks and the internet for the dissemination of opinions and ideas. The work seeks to understand to what extent freedom of expression is guaranteed in the digital age and what are the limits that must be respected, especially with regard to the protection of fundamental rights. For this, the completion of course work examines the legislation in force and the principles that must be followed in a democratic society. In addition, concrete cases will be analyzed in which freedom of expression was abused, in order to identify the legal consequences of these situations. Finally, the work presents conclusions about the need to balance the right to freedom of expression with the protection of other fundamental rights, such as human dignity and equality.
