Abstract

In this integrative review article, we investigate advances and trends in state-of-the-art pediatric care, with a focus on promoting children's health. We performed a comprehensive search of the scientific literature and analyzed 50 relevant studies. The results highlight the positive impact of technological advances, such as telemedicine, genomics and artificial intelligence, in improving the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric diseases. Prevention continues to be a fundamental pillar of pediatric care, with an emphasis on the continued importance of childhood vaccinations and parental education to promote healthy habits. Additionally, we recognize the growing awareness of children's mental health and the need for access to appropriate mental health services. Psychosocial support, including family support networks, has been shown to be beneficial for children's emotional well-being. We conclude that state-of-the-art pediatric care holds promise for children's health, offering a holistic approach that considers not only physical health, but also emotional and social health. However, challenges such as equitable access to these advances and the continued need for research to drive innovation remain. We urge healthcare professionals, researchers and policymakers to continue investing in state-of-the-art pediatric care, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential and enjoy a healthy, happy life.
